Introducing Murray Glenn!!
Announcing the newest addition to the Bradshaw family. Coming into the world at 8 pounds and 13 ounces, measuring 20.5 inches (exactly as long as his big brother) on April 24 at 10:17am the little guy has a BIG set of lungs and is doing just fine adjusting to life at home.
Miles is still getting used to having a baby brother but considering how his world has been completely turned upside down, I'd say he's doing a great job as well.

A beautiful little piece I read that makes me smile.
"little one
mystery guest
lodging in my womb.
I await your appearance
with great impatience.
Do you hear
my voice as I sing
a lullaby and rock
you in your perfect cocoon?
Will you have my eyes
and your father's ears?
I wonder, as you send ripples
across my universe.
I am humbled
for this perfect gift, you."

The BIG NEWS of the week!!

My poor, sick little boy
2009 has not been a good year "health wise" for Mr. Miles. He's had 2 ear infections, a wicked virus that almost put him in the hospital and now - tonsillitis. Poor little dude just can't catch a break. To add insult to injury I, too, have pretty much every symptom he has, sans fever. We had to miss a kickass birthday party today for our one year old friend Calla (hey, we all know what a big deal the first full year is!) since two thirds of the household is just miserable. I've packed our fridge with soft, cool foods and popsicles (of which he hasn't quite figured out yet) and even some ice cream in the meantime to soothe poor little man's burning throat.
When was the last time you had to sleep through your mouth because your nose was too stopped up? Well, let me just assure you - it sucks. It especially sucks when you're 2 because you can't understand why which in turn pisses you off and causes a couple of temper tantrums. I'm allowing the occasional tantrum this weekend, however, because he just feels so icky and everyone needs an outlet every now and then. He's also sleeping a lot more but the doc said to let him make his own schedule and that's just what we're doing. For once, we're letting HIM dictate OUR weekend.
On the bright side my dad got the little boy some new shoes! They're Spiderman-themed and they light up with red lights when he runs or stomps. I adore them and wish they made them in my size so I could play Spiderman shoes with him. :)
Alright well it's cold and dreary outside and my boys are all napping so perhaps Pili and I should make some hot tea and then go join them. Catch you all on the flip side!
